Donating Funds

Donate by Check

Please write your check to United Way of Tri-County
and mark your check CAT Hurricane Relief Fuel Fund

Send to: Citizen Action Team
PO Box 2525
Acton, MA 01720

Then please let us know you're sending it, so we can make sure it is received!

Since these donations go to a separate account at the United Way your contribution is tax deductible and 100% of your donation will be dedicated to purchasing fuel. No money will be taken out for overhead.

You can also make a donation using PayPal
Note: to use PayPal you need to establish an account.

Please send the donation to: boston-nola@lycos.com

All monetary donations go to fuel and tolls for the truck to NOLA and other direct expenses, like packaging materials. All labor is being donated. All the trucks are being donated, so far. For Volunteer opportunities, and a current list of needed goods use the Relief Database at http://citizencommandcenter.org.  Please note that it costs $50 for each pallet of supplies we ship to the Gulf from Methuen, MA. Other rates will apply from other areas (details must be arranged!)

BE INFORMED DONORS!
Other groups may not be serving the truly underserved! Be careful. Many "charity" groups are collecting donations to "serve the underserved" but in reality, are serving their friends/families/friends of families who are, yes, suffering, but do have alternative and back-up resources available to them. Need is all relative, a fact many of us not physically affected by Katrina are realizing. Please be careful. Be informed donors.
